Hello Fambly Dearest!

Hello All!

How are you? I see from the wonderful photos you sent that things are going pretty well. Thank you so much for sending them, Davy (including commentary!). It just makes me so happy to be related and practically related to such wonderful people. Love ya!

Well, now it is time to tell you this week's news...to summarize, Yuen Long is great! Working with Sister Taylor, especially, has been wonderful. It's interesting to see how Heavenly Father can't give us more work until we prepare ourselves well and work in unity, and I'll just let you know that Sister Taylor and I, from the get-go, have had lots of work to do here. Translation: we get along well. Yay!

Well, working through the week, last Friday we went and taught a 60-yr old Popo we met through paak mun (door knocking). She is wonderful. She truly does not care what others think of her. When we went to her home to visit, and asked how she was doing, she replied, "hou pihng ONNNNN!" Which means, 'very peaceful.' She said this while raising her hand up toward the ceiling, of course. Last time we saw her, she answered the door with white paste all over her face because she had put it on her bug bites. Oh how I love her. Anyway, she's very open to learning stuff. We just have to help her get over the hurdle of already going to another church. I know that Heavenly Father wants us to have His full gospel, not just part of it.

Then, on Saturday, we did weekly planning and taught English class and a lesson.

Then, on Sunday, we had a miracle! Stellar finally got her answer. Thank you for your prayers. Here's how it went: She came to church in the morning, but left Sacrament meeting early because she said she had to go home and study for finals. We were worried. But we had to stay in sacrament because I had to give a talk. Anyways, later that afternoon, after church had ended, we had set aside an hour to go paak mun. Earlier in the week, we had prayerfully set aside that time for this paak muning, and we knew we would be able to teach someone during that time. Well, 15 minutes before that time, Stellar  called and wanted to see us. And we immediately felt like we should see her. In fact, we felt like we had planned that time for her. We wouldn't have been at the church still if we hadn't. Well, she came and asked us if we could guess why she wanted to see us... She said that she wanted to be baptized finally! She had gotten an answer that day. When she went home, her mom's friend came over to visit briefly. This friend goes to another church. Well, after the friend left, Stellar's mom asked, "do you see my friend at church ever?" and Stellar had to explain, "no, she goes to another church. She doesn't go to OUR church." It just slipped out like that! And she immediately felt like she needed to finally join (she's been investigating for 6 months). And that she needed to help her family learn the gospel too. Well, when she told us this story, we nearly died of joy. Her countenance seriously has changed. Much happier. We all just had to wait on the Lord to answer her. Her baptismal date is for June 10. We just need to keep praying that Stellar doesn't doubt herself.

What miracles.

Pictures are of Si Family. They live really close by us and we have been teaching them. Their mother, in one of the photos - black shirt, has finally said that she would be willing to be baptized herself! I love them.

Also a picture from the guitar activity.

Well, I'm out of time, but I love you all immensely. Thank you for your prayers. I went to the temple today and I just felt profoundly grateful for the fact that we can be together forever. You're the best.

Love,
Sister Nielsen

P.S.
It appears that I only made it through Sunday's news. Ah well. Sorry. Basically, since then we have taught lots of lessons, gone finding, and generally done missionary work. Lots of little miracles. We've also been helping our neighboring companionship, who has been having some troubles. They're doing better now. And tomorrow we have 5 lessons planned! Oh I love life.

Love,
Sister Nielsen
