English Especially for Youth!

Dearest Fambly Dear,
I love you!!! You are all my favorite people! No offence, sorry.
Well, thank you all for your news as well. I can't believe that after almost 11 months of service, you're all still writing me letters everyweek and packages every once in a while (I got the anti-itch cream. Thank you!). You're all the best.
Well, what have we been up to lately? Well, actually, I just barely came from the church just now, teaching a lesson to an investigator we found while taking the light rail last week (I almost missed my train because I was getting her phone number). She really was willing to listen and wants to hear more, and is basically prepared to hear this message. Unfortunately, she doesn't belong to our area, but it's exciting all the same. And then, as I got off at the train stop and started walking to the library, a very nice young girl let me share her umbrella, and we scheduled to see her on Saturday :) Ooooo, I love miracles! Unfortunately, this girl also doesn't belong to our area. But oh well. The work is going along all the same! I just had to share that little passel of miracles that just barely happened.
SO, did you know that they don't have EFY in Hong Kong? Not a surprise. Instead, they have come up with this missionary activity (read: way to find more investigators) called EEFY. It's a free English class that we teach everyday for a week, that also includes a gospel message. There is a new activity every day, a specific English focus (today was pronunciation), and then a gospel message. EEFY started on Monday. It has kept us very busy, including on Pday, today, but we'll find the time to do everything somehow. It's been really fun, and a fair number of people have come despite the fact that it's rained every day this week. In fact, Stellar has come every day this week to it, and it is really exciting to see how much her testimony keeps growing. In fact, she kinda helped share the spiritual message today in EEFY. :)
However, we haven't gotten any Yuen Long new investigators from EEFY but we will keep trying. It's kinda funny but true that we keep seeming to find new investigators for Tuen Mun, not for ourselves. We will have to work on that?
Anyway, want to know something amazing??!? The Tuen Mun sisters have a summer missionary....and that summer missionary....is Penelope Stewart!!! I know! It's so cool! I get to see her every day! She is quite the missionary already. Dignity and capabililty are the words that I'd use to describe her. She loves being a missionary these few weeks here, and there is nothing cooler than seeing your recent convert as a missionary. I've learned a lot from her, too. She really wants to serve as a full-time missionary, but she has to wait 9 months first. Actually, what makes the matter even better is that she is serving with Sister Bishop right now in Tuen Mun, and Sister Bishop was one of the first missionaries to start teaching her. She taught her for about 5 months, too. Yeah, so Sister Bishop is on Cloud 9 right now too. It's very special for her because she's almost finished her mission by this point. What a neat last experience for her.
Ah, in other news, we had a typhoon this week! It got to be a Level 10 typhoon, which hasn't happened for 20 years or something like that. We weren't allowed outside for a while, but luckily we still were able to have EEFY class. It mostly happened during the night time. When we went out the next morning, we saw that it had bent a metal gate all skeewampus and had broken off several tree branches. Kinda exciting. And we were quite safe, as were most people, which is the best part.
Well, that's the main news. We are continuing to try to work with the wards more and find new people to teach. It is truly exciting to be here, and I know that this work is true. Thank you for your love and support. My mission means so much to me. I love the Lord, and I love my mission.
Love you all too!
Love,
Sister Nielsen
PS By the way, the Chinese mountain we climbed had an honest-to-goodness Buddhist monastery on it. I am not sure if we found any gurus or anything, but we passed by some good, meditating candidates.
I live in a mystic land. You do too. I love the Intermountain Northwest.
PPS Photos are with our summer missionary (in center) we give her back today. And also with Sister Chiu, who is our Super Fellowshipper. Her granddaughter is with her. Taken today.
